Maslows Esteem Needs
The hierarchy of needs theory was developed by Abraham Maslow who was a humanist psychologist in the 1943s. It was a theory of motivation for people because he announced his theory by a proposed paper by title a Theory of Human Motivation. As it name, the hierarchy of needs theory is a theory that describe the basic needs in human life. This Maslow’s theory are divided into five different level of human needs, and Maslow describe it in the form of pyramid shape because the human needs are related each other. The fundamental basic need of human is physiological need that become in the first level of Maslow’s theory. The next level of Maslow’s theory is safety or security need. And the third level of basic human need is the love and belonging need. Now we are going to discussed about the fourth level of the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory which is Esteem need.

Like the previous levels of basic human needs, the Esteem need will appear if the third previous basic needs level which is physiological need, security need and love and belonging need has been well being fulfil or satisfied. The Esteem needs means that a normal human need to be accepted and valued by other. The Esteem needs are including several aspects which are self respect, achievement, attention, recognition and reputation.
The Esteem needs are the important basic needs in the human life, because it can prove the existence of them self in their society. Esteem needs, is the way people find knowledge and aesthetic to reach the sense of contribution. People who had high self esteem needs can reach a high reputation in their society and people will respect them with high value, it is of course can make them reach a successful social life.
